SIMPLE SYRUP
Ingredients:

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

Preparation:

In a small saucepan, add water and sugar together.

Bring water and sugar to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Boil 1 minute or until sugar dissolves.
-
Remove saucepan from heat.

Let cool for 30 minutes.
​
Note: You may use the simple sugar immediately for recipes such as Southern Sweet Tea or you may refrigerate it in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
